WHERE IS THE SHOW???

The Carson Center will continue to be our venue for our regular subscription concerts.

Symphony Hall will be used for the Overture Series, Encore Series, and other smaller events.

The venue location can be found on your ticket (print and digital), your email confirmation, the Facebook Event page, and on the Event page here on the website.

***Please note that phones are not monitored on concert days! If you need to get in touch with us, leave a voicemail or email Bailey Arnett.

Is the venue handicap accessible and are there seating options?

Carson Center:

The Carson Center is handicap/wheelchair accessible. Lot A is blocked off for vehicles with a handicap tag or license plate. You can enter the lobby through the front entrance and an usher will be happy to assist you.

Symphony Hall:

Symphony Hall is fully ADA compliant. You will find handicap parking to the north of the building on Clark Street marked with traffic cones. The handicap entrance to the hall is located in the same area.

We do advise that you call our office ahead of your visit if you need wheelchair accessable seating at either location!

When you are facing the main entrance to the Carson Center, the box office is the entrance to the left of the main foyer. You can pick up or purchase tickets beginning at 6:30pm.

The PSO and Carson Center are separate non-profit organizations. We rent the Carson Center for our shows. Therefore, we are unable to sell you Carson Center tickets. Concert Etiquette

Can I meet the conductor or performers?

Our conductor and guest artists often have very busy schedules, however occasionally guest artists will make an appearance in the lobby during intermission or after the concert to take photos and shake hands!

Do I clap between movements?

The answer to that is different for every piece. The rule of thumb in classical concerts, is that as long as the conductor's arms are in the air, it is understood not to clap. This a tradition among frequent concertgoers, however, if you want to clap, feel free! If you'd rather make sure you only clap when a piece is over, keep an eye on the concert program, which lists the movements individually.

What is your late seating policy?

We understand that things happen that can postpone your arrival time. If you do arrive late, we encourage you to seek out an usher and they will be able to help you find the best time to come in and find your seat after the concert has begun.

Can I record a concert or take photos?

We ask that you do not take photos or video while music is being played, as this can be distracting not only to those sitting around you, but also to the conductor and musicians on stage. That said, photos and social media posts about your experience are encouraged before the performance begins, at intermission, or during applause!

What do I wear?

We want your visit to be as enjoyable as possible. You will see a variety of attire, ranging from casual to cocktail. We encourage our patrons to consider their "Sunday best" as traditional dress for a concert, but please feel free to wear what you are comfortable in.
